Winter Woods stamp set available starting Sept. 5, 2018!
I hope you enjoy my Layered Ink Technique video tutorial at the bottom of this post, with info to create these cards featuring the Stampin' UP! Winter Woods stamp set!
As you will see in the video below, you'll need your Stamparatus Stamp Positioning Tool, and several markers to enjoy this fun Layered Ink technique! I used the Winter Woods stamp set (clear mount) and Whisper White cardstock with my Stampin' Write markers to create these 2 cards. The background is the brand new Buffalo Check background stamp - also available starting 9/5/18.
Thanks to Jenny Hall for the Layered ink tutorial.. I adapted it to use with this stamp set, and love it!
Above: After stamping the pine trees, I added several enamel snowflakes from the Santa's Workshop Enamel Shapes package (pg 19 Holiday Catalog #147811), and stamped Merry Christmas in Shaded Spruce ink from the Timeless Tidings stamp set (pg 33 Holiday catalog, #148939 or 148936). I used a small bit of an Old Olive colored doily (#146935) peeking out under the sentiment and some metallic gold pearls for accents (#146282).
Above & Below: the Buffalo check background is stamped onto Mint Macaron cardstock.. in Mint Macaron ink above, and Shaded Spruce ink below. Find the Buffalo check stamp on pg 38 in the Holiday catalog, #147797 or 147794.
Above: To finish off this card, I die cut some Mint Macaron cardstock "sprigs" from the Frosted Bouquet framelits (sponging a little Shaded Spruce ink on a few ends), and I also added a copper leaf trinket because I liked how it complimented the tree trunks. The greeting is from the Beautiful Baubles stamp set.
I hope you enjoyed these cards today. You could change the greeting and use them most any time of year, and I think they'd make particularly nice "manly cards", too!

I was feeling kind of "artsy" and I took inspiration from some of my dad's watercolor paintings when I was creating these cards featuring Brusho Crystal Colour and the Stampin' UP! set called Waterfront.
I have a FREE VIDEO TUTORIALfor you at the bottom of this blog post so you can see how I made these cards.
In a nutshell, you sprinkle the Brusho directly onto the rubber (photopolymer) stamp and spritz with water, then stamp onto watercolor paper!!!!!
I hope you will give this fun technique a try!! Let me know what stamp set you use!! I can't wait to hear about it!

I really like this greeting (below).. wishing you a lifetime of love & happiness.. it would make a terrific wedding or anniversary card!! Or even a greeting on a bridal shower card, right? It's found on page 118 in the current 2018-2019 catalog, in the Dandelion Wishes stamp set.
The large flower is stamped using the Beautiful Promenade set, and die cut with the coordinating Beautiful Layers thinlit dies (sold in a 10% off bundle! #148389, or see it on pg 107). The leaves are also die cut from the same thinlit die set.
All of my card bases are Petal Pink cardstock, and the mat layer is Flirty Flamingo cardstock.
The greetings are all stamped on a Stitched Shape Framelit oval with Flirty Flamingo ink.
The greeting below, and the "live every moment" greeting are both found in the Ribbon of Courage stamp set.

The card above features the special day greeting from the Stitched All Around bundle, stamped onto a Stitched Shape Whisper White oval, and then layered onto a Stitched all around label die cut with the Tropical Chic 6x6 paper stack.
To create your own Tropical Chic card gather these supplies:
2 pieces of cardstock
2 6x6 sheets of Tropical Chic paper
Whisper White cardstock for stamping
ink pad colors of your choice
Tropical Chic bundle
Stitched Label die cut and Stitched oval die cut
trimmer and Big Shot
adhesive and bone folder

Watch the video below in this post for step by step "how to's" :)
One thing I love about this card design is that it folds flat for mailing, and then pops up easily into this gorgeous easel display when the recipient takes it out of the envelope!
Learn how easy it is to create the 2-tone leaves and flowers with an ink pad and sponge dauber! Watch the video tutorial at the bottom of this post! :)
I love the greetings in the Treat Time stamp set (pg 35) so I used one on the card above/below.
Be sure to pin or print out the cutting and scoring dimensions below so that you can make this card!! Mix and match the cardstock colors and designer paper patterns to suite your taste. I took my color palette from the Tropical Chic 6x6 designer paper stack colors. :)
As I was creating this project, I thought about 4 things that I do when die cutting that might help you!!
If you know you are doing to do a lot of die cutting with a particular set, it's helpful to buy a 2nd set of dies, if that's within your budget
Store your dies on a magnet sheet so they don't get lost - I use these from Stamp-n-Storage and I prefer the 6x7 size
I use a Post-It "tab" sticky note to hold dies in place that seem like they want to shift around as they go through the Big Shot
As I am die cutting, I put all the little pieces into a little container next to my Big Shot so they don't get lost.
Color Combo Tip!
As you are working on your project, take a photo of the colors you are using. If you want to share the idea, or recreate the project later, you'll know exactly which colors you used!
I was so excited to experiment with adding more than one color on each Healing Hugs rose stamp, and you might have watched my Facebook Live video tutorial on Sunday as I demonstrated this technique live! If you missed it, scroll down in this post for the video replay.
The Healing Hugs rose and leaves are a new type of stamp called "Distinktive". It's a photorealistic type of image which is enhanced when you use more than one color! (see pg 110 for the set and tips from Stampin' UP!).
The beautiful Healing Hugs stamp set is available in wood mount or clear mount!
Today we are going to chat about coloring tips and other great tips for creating handmade cards featuring the Stampin' UP! Graceful Glass vellum, and Stampin' Blends markers! The vellum has all the designs already printed on the sheets, and I've colored them with the Stampin' Blends alcohol markers. (watch the video below in this post for more info).
The card below also featured the Garden Trellis embossing folder background on Gorgeous Grape cardstock!
Please enjoy this VIDEO TUTORIAL with lots of vellum tips!

As I mentioned in the video above.. did you see the amazing difference between placing a colored piece of cardstock or a white piece of cardstock behind the colored vellum!? Wow!!
Below Left: Whisper White cardstock behind colored Graceful Glass vellum
Below Right: Balmy Blue cardstock behind colored Graceful Glass vellum
I know I've mentioned this before, but it's worth repeating... to adhere your vellum to the cardstock without any glue lines or spots showing, simply dab some Multipurpose glue with a Stampin' Sponge onto the cardstock piece, then lay the vellum down... press, and voila... perfect seal and no "glue lines" :)
There are 12 different patterns preprinted on the Graceful Glass vellum. I am showcasing one of them today!
Below: check out the very different looks you can achieve with the Graceful Glass vellum, depending on your color choices with the Stampin' Blends markers and also the color of cardstock you place behind the vellum!!
Graceful Glass vellum available HERE, Stampin' Blends markers available HERE
This card just makes me smile... I love the colors, the cheeriness and the cute die cut butterfly from the Painted Glass bundle!!
