It's My Party - Pop-Up Birthday Cards

These pop-up birthday cards were SO fun to make, and not difficult at all! Have you tried them?
They were actually customer thank you cards, but I was hoping the recipients would enjoy the birthday card idea featuring the Stampin' UP! Party Pop-up Thinlit dies!!

When you die cut the "Hip Hip Hooray!" card insert, and you add it to the inside of your card, you have the option to put contrasting paper behind it. You can see ABOVE I have a lighter patterned piece of paper from the It's My Party paper stack, and BELOW I have a darker pattern.... both look fun.. either works great!
I combined the Celebrate Today and Build a Birthday stamp sets with the It's my Party paper stack, little balloon punch from the Party Punch Pack, and the Banner Triple Punch for these cards. I used the It's My Party cardstock pack, and also added Bermuda Bay cardstock to the mix. As you'll see below, I ended up using a sampling of ALL of my Washi Tape on these cards, too!
These are all standard size 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" cards, folded in 1/2.
I cut the Whisper White cardstock to 5-1/4" x 8", stamped each side edge in Daffodil Delight with the Dotty Angles stamp, and then added washi tape for a pop of color. I die cut them with the Party Pop-up Hip Hip Hooray die and then added them to the inside of the card.
If you cut some contrasting cardstock or designer paper to about 4"x4" you can put that in the center for a pop of zing behind the pop up die.
I could not decide which Washi Tape to use on the inside of the cards, so, I used them ALL! :)
This party paper is AMAZING.. it's called "It's My Party" and it's on pg 5 of the Occasions catalog.. I think I need to stock up on an extra paper stack before it retires!!
